Witral
Witral is a textile practice explored in the workshops through work with wool and the loom. Learning connects existing knowledge with new challenges: preparing the warp, adjusting thread tension, reading diagrams, working on ñimin patterns, and choosing colours, shapes and compositions. Scarves and shoulder bags have been made during this process, moving towards work that requires greater independence and decision-making. Weaving also involves time, the body and everyday life: some work continues at home alongside household tasks, care and other responsibilities. Concentration, repetition, unravelling and starting again, and support among participants form part of a learning process that helps us recognize the time and knowledge within every piece.
